What personal data do we collect?

We collect information about you when you contact us via any communication channel, that may include and not restricted to a phone call, a contact form on our website or through a social media channel. Additionally, if you use our details to contact us, for example, emailing us or phoning us directly, we will save the information you provide onto our secure customer relationship management (CRM) system, so we can best meet your needs as a potential or existing customer.

How we will use the information about you?
KT Secure takes your privacy very seriously and we will only use your personal data to administrate your account and to provide the services and products you have requested from us. We will not subscribe you to any email mailing services unless you explicitly opt in to receive these communications.

We may process your information for certain business purposes which include personalising or improving our services for the benefit of our customers and providing additional communications of products and services which may be of interest to you and are directly related to your original query. You can opt out of these communications and the additional processing of your data at any time by using the contact details as specified above.

How long will we keep your data?

We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for us to complete the relevant activity, for as long as agreed in any contract you hold with us, or as is required by law.

We work with industry leading vendors who supply us with their products and services to enable us to meet your needs and fulfil our contract to you. During this process we may share your data with our third-party vendors after obtaining your written consent. We will never sell your data to a third party.

We use social media accounts to communicate and promote our business including LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter. Please refer to the terms and conditions and privacy notices of each social platform for more information on how your data is managed. If you contact us through social media regarding our products and services, we may need to add your personal details to our CRM system to best serve your needs. We will ask your permission by email to confirm your consent before we process your data in this way.

Updating your information

The accuracy of your information is very important to us and we will endeavour to act upon any request to change personal details as soon as possible. If any of your personal details change or you believe any of the information we hold on you is inaccurate, please use the contact details as specified above to let us know.

You also have the right to ask for a copy of the information KT Secure holds about you. From the 25th of May 2018, this will be processed at no cost to you unless we find the request to be manifestly unfounded, excessive or repetitive, in which case we can ask you for a reasonable fee. Prior to the 25th of May, an administration fee of £10 will be required to process your request.

Using our website

We use a third-party service, WordPress.com, to publish our website and blog, which is hosted at pagely.com, you can read their respective privacy policies here and here. When you browse the KT Secure website, we collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour using a third-party service, Google Analytics. This information is anonymous and does not identify individuals and is only used to ensure that the website meets our audience’s needs. The only personal data which we collect through the website is through the clearly marked enquiry forms as identified above.

Use of cookies

A cookie is a small text file which is created when you visit our website. Primarily used to increase the website functionality or efficiency, the cookie will also provide us with information regarding website use. Although cookies are downloaded and saved on to your device, a cookie cannot access any other information on your computer. You can change your cookie preferences at any time on your computer browser.

Use of reCAPTCHA

Our website uses reCAPTCHA provided by Google Inc, on our website forms which requires users of our website and forms to confirm that they are not a robot. This plugin collects personal data including your IP address and other data required by Google to help prevent our website being abused by spam bots. To provide this service reCAPTCHA will place a cookie onto your web browser which collects browser and user information including the number of clicks (or touches if on mobile) you have made on that webpage, CSS information, the date, language settings, any plugins you have installed and javascript objects.

We sometimes embed content on our website from other websites and social networks such as LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook.
